World Day of Remembrance

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDOR) is observed around the world each year to remember people killed and seriously injured in traffic crashes and to recognize the profound impact traffic violence has on families, friends, and communities.

Families for Safe Streets PDX joins communities around the world in marking this day of remembrance here in Portland. Our local observance honors those whose lives have been lost or forever changed while also calling attention to the urgent need to prevent future traffic deaths and serious injuries.

World Day of Remembrance is both a time to remember and reflect and an opportunity to call for action toward streets where everyone can travel safely.
