Families for Safe Streets PDX connects people impacted by traffic violence with community, remembrance opportunities, and support resources. We can also help direct you to resources available through Families for Safe Streets National, including opportunities to connect with others who have experienced similar loss or life-changing injury.
Support Through Families for Safe Streets National
Families for Safe Streets National offers resources for people who have lost a loved one or experienced serious injury in a traffic crash. This includes peer connection, information, and other forms of support for individuals and families affected by traffic violence.

Peer Mentorship Program
Connecting with someone who has experienced a similar loss or serious injury can be an important source of support.
The Families for Safe Streets National Peer Mentorship Program connects bereaved family members, people who have been seriously injured, and caregivers with trained volunteer peer mentors who have personal experience with traffic violence.
Peer mentors can offer understanding and connection based on lived experience as people navigate the aftermath of a life-altering crash.
