Memorials & Remembrance

Behind every traffic death is a person, a family, and a community. Portland Families for Safe Streets works to ensure that people killed in traffic crashes are remembered—not simply counted.

Our remembrance work includes the Portland Victims' Memorial, memorial signs at crash sites, ghost bikes, and Portland's annual observance of World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

Each November, Portland Families for Safe Streets joins communities around the world in observing World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

We gather to remember people killed and seriously injured in traffic crashes, stand with their families and communities, and call for action to prevent future tragedies.
